Kidney Cancer Mouse models-Bhd-CMV-Cre knockout mice

Bhd-CMV-Cre knockout mice (global knockout):

This mouse model was created by crossing Bhd-flox/flox mice to Cre recombinase-expressing CMV-Cre mice. Since CMV-Cre expresses everywhere and all the time, the homozygous knockout mice are embryonic lethal. A small proportion of the heterozygous mice develop kidney tumors, lung cancer, ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, colorectal polyposis at the late stage of life (around two years old).
